Perimeter drainage in British Columbia is governed by the BC Building Code, Section 9.14. A replacement normally needs a municipal plumbing permit and an inspection of the new line before the trench closes. We arrange both where required.

How a price gets set
We do not price drainage over the phone. Two houses on the same street can be thousands of dollars apart depending on depth, access, what the existing pipe is made of and where it drains to, and any number quoted before someone has looked is a guess dressed up as an estimate.
So the sequence is always the same. A camera goes down the line and a locator marks the depth and route. You see the footage. The quote that follows is fixed, itemized by stage, and it names what would change it before we start rather than after. If the job turns out to be smaller than it looked, the price comes down.

After the job
What we stand behind
Every drainage replacement carries a workmanship warranty of up to 10 years, in writing: 10 years on full replacements, 5 years on sectional replacements and 2 years on spot repairs. The line does not just drain again, it drains better than the day the house was built, because the pipe, the rock and the filter fabric are all better than what came out of the ground.
What the warranty covers varies with the type of work, so the exact terms for your job go in writing with the quote rather than after it. The short version is answered on our drainage costs and warranty FAQ. Manufacturer warranties on pumps and membranes are separate and pass to you.
