Legal Privacy policy
Drainage Pro collects personal information only when you send it to us: through a form on this site, by phone, by text or by email. We use it to answer you and to do the work you asked about. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect
This site has two forms. The inspection form asks for your name, phone number, email address, the service address, the postal code, when you would prefer us to visit, and a description of what you are seeing. The quote form asks for your name, email address, postal code, an optional phone number, the kind of work you need, and your message. Every field is there because we use it: the address decides which crew and which municipality, the postal code tells us whether you are inside our service area, and the description tells us what to load on the truck.
Each submission also carries the page you sent it from and, if you arrived from an advertisement or a campaign link, the campaign parameters in that link. That tells us which pages and which ads bring real enquiries. It says nothing about you personally.
If you call, text or email us instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation. We do not record calls.
What happens to a form submission
A submission is emailed straight to Drainage Pro and a copy is emailed back to the address you gave, so you have a record that it arrived. That is the whole storage system: the enquiry lives in our email, on business email accounts, and nowhere else. This website keeps no customer database and no copy of your message.
If the notification email fails to send, our server writes an error entry containing your name, phone number, email address, postal code and the page you submitted from, so that we can still phone you back rather than lose your enquiry. The body of your message is never written to that log. Those entries are kept only as long as the platform retains logs.
Spam protection
Both forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which loads a script from challenges.cloudflare.com and checks that a browser rather than a bot is submitting the form. Turnstile does not ask you to identify pictures and does not ask for personal information, but it does assess signals from your browser and your network connection in order to make that decision. Cloudflare processes that data on our behalf; its handling is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
We also apply a rate limit to form submissions, which uses the IP address your request arrives from to stop a single source flooding us. That address is used for the check and is not stored with your enquiry.
Analytics and advertising
At the time of writing this site runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no third-party tracking cookies. If we add them, they will be Google Analytics, which reports in aggregate how many people visit each page and how they got there, and Google Ads conversion tracking, which tells us whether a form submission followed a click on one of our advertisements. Both would set cookies in your browser, and both may be used to show you our advertisements again elsewhere.
We will update this page, and the date at the top of it, before any of that is switched on. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and doing so will not stop you using this site or sending us a form.
Server logs
Like every website, this one is served by infrastructure that keeps operational logs: requests, response codes, approximate location, browser type and IP address. They exist to keep the site up and to deal with attacks and abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with your enquiry.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the suppliers who make this site and our email work, and only to the extent that they need it to do so, or where the law requires us to. If a job needs a subcontractor or a municipal permit application, we share only what that specific task requires and we tell you first.
This site links to other websites, including municipal pages and our Google listing. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information. Read their policies before you give them anything.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept while we might still hear back from you, and then deleted. Where we have done work at a property, we keep the enquiry, the scope, the camera footage and the invoice as part of our job records, because a workmanship warranty is not worth much without the paperwork that proves what was installed and when.
Your rights, and how to use them
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it. You may also withdraw your consent to us contacting you.
Email info@drainagepro.ca with the request and enough detail for us to find you, normally the name, phone number or address you used. We answer within 30 days, which is the period both statutes allow. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we replace it here and change the effective date at the top. We do not keep an archive of previous versions, so if a change matters to you, keep a copy.
